Maggie Baumann, MA, is a Marriage, Family Therapist Intern specializing in children, teen, individual, couples, group and family psychotherapy. She maintains a private practice (Newport Beach Family Therapy) in Newport Beach, California and also works as an eating disorder staff therapist intern at the Victorian in Newport Beach, a residential treatment center for women struggling with eating disorders and drug/alcohol addiction.

Maggie works under the supervision of family therapist and eating disorder specialist Michele Lob, MA, MFT. 

Maggie conducts therapy groups in the community on women's issues, eating disorders and body image. She has traveled all over the country to promote eating disorder prevention and has appeared on several television programs addressing eating disorder recovery. Maggie is a board member of the Orange County Chapter of International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals and is a published author in eating disorder recovery. She also participates as an active member of the California Association of Marriage Family Therapists (CAMFT) and the National Eating Disorder Association. Additionally, Maggie is certified as a domestic violence counselor.

As a therapist, she holds great compassion and respect for her clients' abilities to work through difficulties in order to find the strength to make positive changes in their lives. She says, "Healing and growth come from a commitment to changing what's not working."  

Maggie is a graduate of University California at San Diego (UCSD) with a bachelor's in psychology/biology. She completed her master's degree in counseling psychology from Argosy University.
